The most interesting person I met this summer. Description and use of adjectives: My boss is a really smart guy! 〃

第3回目
Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. What was the most interesting job I have ever had? The kind of job I would like to have some day. Verb tense forms:past perfect tense/present perfect/future perfect. 〃

第4回目
I have a dream. My dream is to become/achieve/fulfill/accomplish. Verb forms and meanings of become, come to be, came to be, and began. 〃

Halloween/Activities Halloween/Adjectives 〃

第6回目
What’s my horror scope? Focus on if conditionals: Students will predict each other’s fortunes; If you study hard this term, you will get straight A’s. 〃

Food Glorious Food. Test (midterm) Focus on comparatives: Which sushi is better? tastier? Tastiest?Which is least tasty? 〃

Restaurants: Fast and Fastidious? Ordering in restaurants/show when polite and less polite forms are used. 〃

Food preparation: Let’s make Omochi! Focus on critical thinking tasks of measurements: students will translate Japanese recipes into English using imperative forms and will convert from the metric to the American standard of measurement. 〃

Shopping for the perfect cell phone. Understanding options and the correct use of articles and demonstrative forms. I want that cell phone. I want a hot pink cell phone. I want the gray cell phone on your desk. 〃

Staying healthy in life. Subject-verb-object (active sentences versus passive). I drink fresh juice. I go to bed early. Stress that active forms are more desirable than are passive sentences in certain contexts. 〃
