読む、書く、聞く、話すの4つの分野を総合的に増強しつつ、実用的な英語の運用能力の向上を図る。

第1回目
Orientation シラバスに従って必ず予習をしてくること。具体的な予習の内容は次の通り。
1）“Listening 1 & 2”を除いたすべての演習をしてくること。
2）その日の学習範囲に出てくる単語をすべて覚えてくること。
3）Presentationが予定されている場合には、十分な準備をしてくること。

Exchanging opinions Grammar: Asking for and giving opinions, Adverbs of degree

第3回目
Clothes and fashion Vocabulary: Items of clothing, fabrics and styles

第4回目
Planning a celebration Grammar: “Going to” and “will”

第5回目
Planning shopping trip Vocabulary: Food items

Asking for permission Grammar: asking for, giving and refusing permission

毎回行うテスト：50％、Presentation:25％、Class participation:25％

そのほか受講者への指示／メッセージ
授業は英語で行われるが、分からなければ何度でも繰り返すし、言い換えもするので怖がらないで欲しい。「面白くなければ英語じゃない」を合言葉に、受験のための英語ではなく、相手を理解したり、情報を得るための、或いは自分を相手に分かってもらうためのツールとして使える喜びと醍醐味を味わって欲しい。そのために、授業中は何でも積極的に発言をしてもらいたい。クラスで発言する勇気なくして（日本語であれ、英語であれ）真のコミュニケーション能力を伸ばすことはできない。
