授業の概要

English Communication II meets twice a week. Students will take a Reading/TOEIC class and a Communication Skills class. Reading/TOEIC In the Reading/TOEIC class, students will prepare for the TOEIC Bridge by familiarizing themselves with the test format and items. They will develop skills and strategies in listening, reading and grammar. Students will read short passages and work on developing reading strategies and skills, such as previewing and predicting, getting the main idea, getting details, inferring meaning, and getting meaning from context, skimming and scanning, in order to improve their reading fluency and comprehension. Communication Skills In the Communication Skills class, students will listen to short passages and work on developing listening skills such as previewing and predicting, getting the main idea, getting details, inferring meaning, and getting meaning from context. Students will read short passages and work on building up their vocabulary. Students will engage in teacher selected writing and Internet research projects. Students will practice listening and speaking on everyday common topics.
