授業の概要

In this course you will work on ways to gather, read and analyze information in English on topics mainly related, but not limited to North American current events, social issues, society and culture that are of interest to you. You will also work on discovering and developing strategies and techniques useful to the learning of English. You will read English newspaper articles, magazine articles, internet homepages, books, etc. You will write reading logs, papers, and/or make individual or small group presentations on resources/data/information that you have gathered, read, and analyzed. You will write self/peer evaluations. We will use the computer every week. You will need to bring your laptops to every class. Lessons will be conducted in English. You should be prepared to speak in English with the teacher and your classmates.

第1回目	Introduction Workshop Orientation	Students will introduce themselves and talk about their goals for the workshop. Class Discussion on workshop syllabus. Work on the Blackboard.	BRING YOUR PC TO CLASS EVERY WEEK.

第3回目	News Report Project	Present news summary.	Evaluate news summaries.
第4回目	Book Report Project	Search for and select a book.	Write a Book Report.
第5回目	Book Report Project	Present book report.	Evaluate book reports. **FALL Semester Classes will do oral presentations at the COSMOS Festival
第6回目	Website Presentation Project	Search for and select a website.	Read and critically analyze website
