授業の概要
20世紀の偉人についての伝記を読み、偉人の足跡をたどりながら、英語で思考し、英語で表現し、英語を日本語に翻訳し、様々な練習問題を通して、総合的に英語を学習する。英語を手段として、人生について考え、自らの考えも簡単な英語で表現できるようにする。

到達目標
英語をツールとして、２０世紀の偉人の生き方について学び、インスピレーションを得て、受講生の生き方に何らかのインパクトを与えることがひとつの目標である。受講生が簡単な英語で自己表現する喜びを体験し、日本語とは異なった言語で表現することによって、新しい自分を発見してもらいたいと願っている。

第1回目
全体の導入とUNIT 1 John F. Knnedy Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. について考察。

第2回目
UNIT　２ Albert Einstein If I had known they were going to do this, I would have become a shoemaker. について考察。

第3回目
UNIT　３ Mother Teresa God admires us not for what we do, but for how much love we put into what we do.を考察。

UNIT　４ Walt Disney In my work I try to reach and speak to the innocence which is in everyone, child or adult.

UNIT　５ Mohands Gandhi Mental nonviolence has potency which the world does not know yet. について考察。

UNIT　６ Helen Keller Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

第7回目
UNIT　７ John Lennon Imagine all the people living for today. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.
