授業の概要

This course is a workshop in teaching English as a foreign language. It is taught in English and focuses is on topics of interest to future teachers or others interested in education. Class materials will include the ideas of internationally-known teachers, practical activities for the language classroom, and a variety of strategies for teaching others and ourselves. It is designed both for future teachers and for anyone with an interest in education and the learning of foreign languages. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their own language learning experiences and explore new ideas. Regular short writing assignments will be required, and there will be a final project.

到達目標

Goals for the this course are: (a) to better understand how languages are taught and learned; (b) to develop English speaking and listening skills, and (c) to learn practical teaching activities, such as games.
