My Neighborhood/ My hometown in Japan. Focus on Description and use of adverbs: My neighborhood has one movie theater behind the old tatami mat shop.

How I plan to use English in my life. What can I do/ should I do with English? Focus on verb tense forms: I plan to/ I will/ I am going to/ I am thinking of/ I may/ I might/ I should.
第4回目
My favorite memory from childhood. Focus on past tense verb forms simple past and past perfect: when I was a child, I did, I rode/ I once had flown a kite over the Tama river.

Evaluation: 70 percent of the grade is based on attendance, in class participation (which includes strong emphasis on pair practice) one midterm, and weekly homework assignments. 30 percent of the grade is based on a final exam of content covered in class.
