授業の概要

This course is designed to build speaking & listening skills. Students will have opportunities to (1) listen to a variety of spoken conversations based on authentic sources; (2) learn strategies for developing their listening & speaking skils; (3)learn to recognize & use a variety of expressions and (4) interact with the teacher and each other in English. Regular homework assignments will supplement class work. A detailed course outline will be handed out on the first day of class.

到達目標

Goals for this course are: (i) Students will acquire vocabulary & language structures useful for discussing personal history & experiences, educational goals, cultural ideas, feelings, intentions and opinions. (ii) Students will gain awareness of what effective communication is in a variety of situations and places, specially within a communicative English classroom. (iii) Students will be able to use strategies & skills to develop their fluency & monitor the accuracy of their English. (iv) Students will experience the benefits of cooperative learning in pairs & small groups and will gain a deeper sense of themselves as autonomous learners,
