授業の概要

This course is designed to help students build up confidence in using English for effective communication. They will learn various strategies and skills useful in discussion. These include 1)identifying important ideas and summarizing 2)agreeing and disagreeing 3)explaining 4)giving opinions. Topics will include identity, body language, politeness and values. Class activities will include short essay reading, pair work and presentations. Students will be expected to prepare a short presentation every week. Through small group discussions, students will have opportunities to express their ideas in their own way.

到達目標	Students should become more capable of expressing their opinions. They should become confident enough to experiment and consider new ideas. In addition, they will acquire vocabulary and structures to talk about various themes and exchange their opinions with others.
