授業の概要
This course is a content-based discussion and workshop course, which is taught in English. Focus is on approaches to the teaching of English to non-native speakers. Class materials will include the ideas of internationally-known teachers, practical activities for the language classroom, and a variety of strategies for teaching others and ourselves. It is designed both for future teachers and for anyone with an interest in education and the learning of foreign languages. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their own language learning experiences, and regular journal writing will be required.
到達目標
Goals for the this course are: (a) to better understand how languages are taught and learned; (b) to develop English speaking and listening skills, and (c) to learn practical teaching activities, such as games.
