Goal (Reading): Readings consist of authentic texts, including literature. The various reading skills are further refined emphasizing critical thinking and evaluation skills. Students are encouraged to be independent learners and thinkers able to handle academic reading material with confidence.
Goal (Listening and Speaking): Students are able to make conversation on both casual and academic topics in a variety of situations. Students feel comfortable giving presentations on an academic subject. Listening and speaking skills become tools which students independently use to support their language ability overall.
