授業の概要
This course is designed to strengthen students’ abilities in the communicative skills of Listening, Speaking and Writing, as well as fostering vocabulary development. In addition to work from the textbook, students will use the Internet for both listening and writing activities, including collaborative learning projects and finding an English speaking Pen Pal. There will be regular class speaking activities, discussions and games, as well as regular writing assignments.

a. Chapter 2 - Music; b. Chapter 3 - Learning for LifePresentation of favorite songs in English. Presentation/Discussion: Why learn English? + Learning strategies. Listening for reasons and preferences. School Survey.

a. School Survey, b. Chapter 4, FashionPresentations of school surveys. Discussion of what’s ‘in’ fashion. Describing outfits. Listening to fashion descriptions.

Review and Revision: Chapters 1-3, Greetings, Music and Fashion. Vocabulary recycle, discussion, games based on first 3 lessons.
Start projects: Personal dictionaries/rap songs.

Presentation of Student ProjectsStudents present the work started in the previous class.
第7回目
Chapter 6, DatingDescribing social life and ideal date. Identifying people’s qualities and interests. Surveying dating styles. Talking about a dream date.
