Goals:Students write journals and responses to readings with attention directed toward paragraph and essay structure,
and toward summary,analysis and evaluation writing skills. Academic writing is done through short answer nad
essay exams,more extensive library reports,and research papers. Note-taking,annotating,and outlining skills
are further refined.

Goals:Oral language proficiency is further developed and refined enabling students to discuss and handle various types
of topics and situations. Students refine oral presentation skills related to academic and professional topics.
Out-of-class listening is done extensively with the use of any available material and situations.
